Love is not a feeling but a willingness.

About

psychotherapist

We answered our calling by devoting ourselves to the art of healing as therapists.

We opened up practices and deepened into our respective specialties: Shira in complex trauma and couples therapy, Alexa in trauma and somatic modalities. And as our practices grew, we came to understand the deep patterns and themes that surfaced year after year.

Some issues could find healing.

But often healing the deepest patterns of stuckness defied breakthrough, no matter which frameworks we used, no matter how hard the client worked, no matter how hard we worked. It was as if the deepest kind of healing required was often inaccessible.

The frustration and desperation was heartbreaking.

That led both of us to seek solutions at just the moment when therapy broke open to a new model of psychedelic assisted practice.

At first we were curious but cautious. But the data for positive outcomes was undeniable. The experience of psychedelic assisted work itself was the breakthrough. We both couldn’t believe the healing that we experienced with our own unresolved life patterns. We had found the doorway and the missing key we’d been looking for not just for ourselves but for our clients. Our lives and work would be forever changed.

We immediately trained and apprenticed to create a rigorous process and soul centered practice based on values of safety, scientific research, and integration, with consistent positive results. The returns on our healing outcomes were once again undeniable. The healing transformation proposition was too great to ignore.

Who we are

This year we opened the doors of
I-Psychedelic in a shared practice whose mission is to bring this healing work to individuals, couples, and groups.
